High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)
The likelihood is that if you are reading this web page, you or someone you love has been given a diagnosis of raised blood pressure (Hypertension).
You are probably searching for ways to get your blood pressure back under control or perhaps you are just looking for more knowledge about the problem and how it's going to affect you.
What is hypertension?
Your blood pressure reading is a measure of the load your blood vessels are under.
Your blood pressure naturally rises as a result of everyday activities, such as physical exercise and mental stress, but when the readings stay high for a sustained period; this can lead to a diagnosis of hypertension.
The Bad News
High blood pressure has reached epidemic proportions, with 33% of the worldwide population thought to have high blood pressure, according to the World Health Organisation.
In 90% of cases, there isn't any identifiable medical cause, so millions of hypertension suffers worldwide have to resign themselves to a lifetime of medication.
What’s worse, the risks of raised blood pressure only increase with each passing year.
The Good News
The good thing is there are ways to turn that around.
What we do know is that there are particular lifestyle factors that cause elevated blood pressure, of which some are physical and others are mental.
The medical world advises doing something about the physical and just ignores the psychological ones in the main.
It is these lifestyle factors that, when tackled effectively, are able to reduce high blood pressure in a very short space of time.
Some clients can enjoy consistently lower blood pressure within a few short weeks.
Although medication could help to control raised blood pressure, it does not do anything to solve the underlying problem.
What is hypnotension?
The Hypnotension programme directly addresses the lifestyle aspects, both physical and psychological, that can cause high blood pressure. Blood pressure readings are often higher than normal when taken by a Doctor or Nurse (known as ‘white coat syndrome’) which proves how significant the nervous system is in the cause of high blood pressure.
As your local Certified Hypnotension Practitioner, I can help you identify and overcome the specific combination of aspects which may underpin your hypertension.
By making use of the Hypnotension system, I will help you begin to bring your blood pressure down to a normal level.
